EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

District Township’s Emergency Management Coordinator is recommended by the Board of Supervisors. This recommendation is then forwarded to Berks County Emergency Management Agency for review. After a thorough background check, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) notifies the Governor that such a recommendation has been made. The Governor then makes the formal appointment of the Emergency Management Coordinator. In case of a true emergency affecting the mass public, the District Township Emergency Management Coordinator may be reached at 610-906-0468.
